How it Works
Doc to Dock Converts Surplus Into Survival

1. Gather Supplies and Equipment:

• Receive medical supplies from hospitals and individuals across the United States

• Place recycling bins in participating hospitals to collect unused medical material

• Collect medical equipment, such as beds, ultrasound machines, neonatal equipment, delivery beds, etc. that would otherwise be discarded

2. Sort and Inventory Supplies:

• Volunteers sort, box and inventory all supplies with product code, weight and item count

• Test medical equipment for full functionality and operation

• Reject items that do not conform to Doc to Dock standards

3. Match Needs and Avoid Waste:

• Determine specific needs of health facility

• Generate proposed shipping manifest to fill 40 foot container

• Recipient health facility reviews manifest

• Supplies are shipped

4. Improve Global Health and Benefit the Environment:

• Supplies are delivered directly to recipient hospitals with the help of trusted ground partners

• Ship 40 foot containers to Africa and Haiti

• Save countless tons of waste from area landfills

• Provide urgently needed medical supplies to treat illness and save lives
